Part 2 - Moorea Day 1

After we checked out of the Intercontinental on Tahiti, we went back to the airport and checked in for our Air Moorea flight to Moorea. We then grabbed some lunch (sandwiches) at the airport and played cards until our flight.

Here is our little airplane. At 2:30pm they opened security and at 2:33pm we were taking off!


The view from the plane of Tahiti. All the Tahitian Islands are surrounded by reefs so that the ocean crashes on them and the inside lagoon area is calm and many many different colors of blue.

We landed and took our shuttle to the Moorea Pearl resort where we had a beach bungalow! It was awesome. We walked into our bungalow and there was a heart of flowers on the bed, see below:
There were also flowers on the sink, shower, toilet, couch, table...

This is the hut from the outside. It was nice, our own private deck and chairs, and right on the water. Right in front of Matt is the water.

We got a bottle of champagne as well! Here is nerd Matt pouring it...

And then enjoying it on our porch...


At 6:30 we went to dinner at the hotel, where our dinner was included in our package. We are both nerds now, hey it has been a long day! Dinner was good, Matt ordered an appitizer that wasn't very good, and I ordered a dessert that wasn't very good, but our meals were very tasty.

Then at 7:30....I went to bed :)
