Lowe's Shopping Spree

If you don't owe stock in Lowe's, maybe you should.

Today, Matt and I went to the Lowe's up off Arapahoe Road and went on a shopping spree. We got some fertilizer for the grass, along with a spreader, and then...

We met up with Jake and Andrea and he let us use his employee discount (thanks Jake) and then we went bowling. Andrea boweled a 55 the first game and a 111 the second.

We came home and when we opened the mower, the front tire was broken, so we were very sad. So we went to the Lowe's in Parker to return it and get a new one. This was an expensive return trip, as Matt let me buy a new washer and dryer! They are Whirlpool. We told the lady that was helping us that we would take our knowledge and go back to the one up by Jake, and she said she would just give us the discount. That was nice of her! These are new machines, so they are not in stock yet, so they will be delivered the first of May.

I am looking forward to having a dryer that works, and hopefully the washer is more water efficient, as now we will have to turn on our sprinklers to let Matt use all his new lawn toys.

Private Flight to Pinedale - Matt

Matt has been hearing about this plane that goes to the field since he started, but the one time tried some big bosses got seniority and no go. Needless to say he was excited to go this Tuesday!

I showed up at 5:20 AM and the pilots asked us if we were all there. We said yes so they checked our ID's and walked out to the plane. Ten minutes later and we were in the air! It was obviously dark out, but it was a King Air 200.
Not huge, but comfortable for 8 and our two pilots.
We landed in Pinedale, WY at 7AM walked off the plane and a guy from the field had cars warmed up waiting. Pilots asked us what time we wanted to leave and we were off. Mike and I went South about a half hour to meet with a few folks at BP to share learnings. I was nervous they weren't going to show since didn't call back the day before, but it turned out useful. Who would have thought 70 in Denver and Snowing in Pinedale?
We had a full day and after driving through the snow we walked back to our plane near the Pinedale hangers and took off just after 3:30PM.
The view driving over the field was good, these are the well pads that we visited in Jonah - BP. The BLM has since restricted how much land is used for pads down to 5-10% so we have much fewer locations and more condensed.
The best part was really the view over Denver. The city looked pretty cool and here is our office next to Cherry Creek Reservoir.
Back in Denver we landed before 5PM and we walked through the enormous and overly clean hanger to our cars. The short ten minute drive home and all a success. I'll have to try this again:)
If only flag football game at 9:40PM (Yeah a long day) went as well. 58-0...

Kim's Wedding

On Thursday early morning, Matt and I, and my parents, flew down to Pensacola, FL. We got there about 1:30pm and after getting a car and getting to the hotel, we went and got some grouper for lunch. The rehearsal was at 5pm and after that we had a very nice dinner.

Friday morning Breena and I drove over to Kim's parents for breakfast, and then we went to get our hair done. Matt took these pictures for me.

They had a sand pouring ceremony.

Lots of pictures on the beach.
The cake:

It was a great wedding.

On Saturday, Matt and I walked the beach a little bit.
Then we headed over to a birthday party for Kim's dad at their house. Here is me and Kim's dogs.

Matt and I flew home on Saturday night, and after a long layover in Dallas we got back home around midnight. Good weekend, even though it went by fast.

Easter Weekend

Last Friday, Matt and I picked up Steven at the airport and met my parents, Andrea + Jake, and Tarah at Champs for dinner. Steven "couldn't say no" to some ice cream.

On Saturday, Matt and I picked up Jon at the airport (common theme here) and drove down to the lake. It was super windy out. We hiked up to the top of the rocks.
Here is a real nice pic that Jon took of Pike's Peak.

Mom got some sandwiches from the Larkspur Mall and we had a mini-tailgate. Dad "volunteered" to go into the water (where half the lake was still ice covered) to see how deep our dock legs needed to be.

Doesn't he look like he is having tons of fun out there?

We came home and got ready to watch the Final Four game with Michigan State.

On Thursday, Matt and I made a State cake. Matt had a little bit of a hard time doing this, but we did have a lot of fun and it turned out really well! Sadly, it didn't bring about a win.

After church on Sunday, we went indoor skydiving. Here is me: We had a good time, none of us were very good at it.

After that we came back to my house for some ham and easter baskets. Then thankfully my parents took Jon and Steven back to the airport and I fell asleep. Busy weekend!

On Monday, I watched lots of baseball :) It was great, the Rockies won and the Dodgers lost, and the Tigers won and the Twins lost. I voted to end the regular season after opening day, and that should have happened since the Rockies have lost their next two.

On Tuesday I went down to the lake, where it was freeeeeeeeeeeezing cold and watched the bulldozer plow some of the scrub oak away for the house. Looks a lot better now that you can actually see where it is going.
Now watching the Tigers, they are in the top of the 11th tied at 1. Boring boring game, hopefully the Tigers can pull it out right now. I wish MLB TV was always free!

Tomorrow (at 5am) Matt and I and my parents are headed to the airport to go to Pensacola, FL for Kim's wedding. I am very excited!

PS. I got a plane ticket to visit GG in Dearborn, and I got tickets to go watch the Tigers vs the Twins at Comercia! I'm so excited!
