Wedding Water Bottle Labels

My water bottle labels came today!!! I ordered water bottle labels for the wedding ceremony if it is too hot and people need some water to drink. They are purple. So yesterday Mom and I bought cases of water at Walgreens and today we assembled!

Carol and Laura took the old labels off, Andrea and I put the new labels on, and Grandma supervised.

Here they all are in the box room being stored for wedding day!

We ordered them from www.bottleyourbrand.com They look good.

Attack of the May Flies

On Saturday night the may flies decended upon us. Thousands and thousands showed up on the deck and screens and nastyyyyyyyyyy.
Here is the post with stashes of them. So nasty. May flies only live a couple of hours and then die, so on Sunday morning we took out the leaf blower and blew them all into trash bags to throw away. Ick ick.

Snapping Turtle

The other morning up north we saw a huge snapping turtle crawling from the hot tub down to the lake. We think she was a she and super ugly and mean at that. She had been digging around in the mulch, probably to lay eggs.

Dad and Andrea were crazy enough to touch the thing.

She eventually went into the lake, to which I am never going in again...scary...

Stop in Rockford

We stopped in Rockford to see GG on the way up north. We let the kitties out to stretch their legs. Grandpa had to keep a close eye on Peanut because he said she was bad luck.

Road Trip #3

On Monday and Tuesday of last week Andrea and I drove the mini van and the two cats across the country from Colorado to Michigan. It was a very long very boring trip. Here are some cute cute pictures of my baby Peanut who loves me so much.

Magic was not so happy, she sat in the basket and glared the entire trip. But she is doing very well now, enjoys sitting out on the deck sunning and looking at the lake.

Sometimes both the kitties would crawl all the way to the back and glare at the cars behind us.
We survived and now we are up north for the summer.

Rainbow

Since I am back posting, these are pictures of the awesome rainbow I saw in Colorado. The weather was awful the 2 weeks I was there, but provided some pretty rainbow pictures.

Even a double!

Holy Bible

Last year Psalm Sunday Matt and I decided to read the Bible together, so we got a One Year Bible where you read part of the Old, New, Psalms and Proverbs everyday. Our goal was to finish by our wedding, which was a year and a half away. On June 13th Matt and I finished! A little over a year, but we finished together and by our goal. We are very proud of ourselves.

Now that we have read it cover to cover, we will have to pick something more specific and with a reading guide as our next project to start after our lives settle down a little bit.

Hiking at the Lake

Today Matt and I went out to the lake and hiked up to the top of the property. We had to blaze our own trail through the scrub oak and over rocks, hope none of it was poison ivy!

As you can tell in the picture below, it was super windy. 5 tornados touched down in Denver, and Centennial (where Matt and I are looking at houses) got 3 inches of hail - golf ball size.

I don't have the best camera on my iphone, but the view is really good and you can see Pike's Peak very well.

Maggie is currently passed out next to me (she does that a lot) and Matt and I are pretty tired from the hike, and the walk with Maggie around the circle. Matt is going to Pinedale Monday to Wednesday and then Europe on Saturday, so it was good to spend the day with him before we separate for the month before our wedding.
