Guest Room Take 2

Because so many people didn't like the blue... Matt and I repainted it tan.

Matt also took down their kids ceiling fan and put up the one I had in my room in Texas.

Hickory House

On Saturday, Mom, Andrea, Tarah and I went to breakfast and got pedicures. It was a good morning. Our toes are all very happy.

Then I came home and went on a walk with Matt, nice day out! We then went and got my library book, returned some stuff at Kohls, gave Matt a tour of downtown Parker and then went to CostCo. We had fun there (i love churros) and got lots of big boxes of food for Matt to take in his lunches for the next month.

We came home for a short bit, and then went back out. We returned my movie at Red Box (The Time Travelers Wife, I really enjoyed the movie, I had heard it was very bad and while I enjoyed the book it was a rather weird book. But maybe low expectations helped, and I enjoyed watching it.), then we cashed a check at the bank...and then....

we went to Hickory House! This is a ribs place that we drive by on Parker Road all the time and it smells good, so we decided to try it out. It says "the best ribs in Colorado". Not sure about that, but they were very good. We went early to get Happy Hour specials, where you get 2 for 1 drafts, so Matt and I each ordered one...and they brought us each two. That was not what we were expecting haha. After I finished my first one I went to start on the second one and Matt gave me a look, and I told him well I can't just waste it, are you going to pour yours out? A split second after that Matt knocked the entire full beer over, it was so funny I could not stop laughing. The waitress got him another one, but told him she might have to give him a lid or the bar tender would cut him off.

The ribs tasted very good and we had a good time.

Breckenridge

Last Friday we went skiing at Breck and here we are at the top of Imperial.

It was super windy...which is why I look so cold.

Matt's Jackson Hole Trip

These are the pictures from Matt's Jackson Hole trip awhile back.

He said he had a good time, and it was snowy the whole time. And that they were smashed in the tram like sardines.

Happy March

Haven't updated in awhile.

Matt and I finally hung up our other garage project we bought at Lowes. At the shovels and such were falling over on my car, so we decided to hang them up.

It is much nicer now.

The last week of February I flew to Dearborn, just in time for the week of snow!

I made a snowman because the snow was just perfect for packing.

This past weekend Matt and I went skiing on Friday at Breckenridge. He took some pictures, but we shall see if they ever come off his phone. On Saturday we went to Cindy's for her 50th bday party. Sunday we went to church and watched the end of the Olympics, booo Canada.

Today, my car reached 150,000 miles!

Yay!

Week Update

Monday: Drove Matt to the airport for his week in Wyoming.

Tuesday: Went to lunch with parents and Jeff, then went down to AF vs CSU basketball game. AF was leading the entire game, then blew it at the end to lose. It was heartbreaking.

Wednesday: Drove my parents to the airport for their week in Florida. Then went up to hang out with Aubrey. Had a good night with her and Jake.

Thursday: Drove Cindy and Rick to the airport to join my parents in Daytona (they showed up 45 minutes earlier than they said they would...good thing I didn't push snooze!) Did a bunch of chores, then watched the Nuggets lose... lame.

Friday: Went shopping and to sushi with Jess and then watched some opening ceremonies (ARG why don't they let me watch it live???) Matt is skiing with Andrew at Jackson Hole, hopefully he took some pictures so we can have a post about that. He said tons of snow there, hopefully he gets home!

Weekend Update

On Friday I went with my parents up to Breckenridge to go skiing. We met up with Katie and skiied with her for awhile. It was super windy, but otherwise had a good time. Before we left we looked at the ice sculptures from last week.

Friday night Matt and I just hung out, I was super tired and fell asleep before 9. I am a real exciting person.

On Saturday, Mom took a bunch of us girls to see Legally Blonde the Musical in Denver. It was very cute and I enjoyed it. Differs some from the movie, but not in a bad way.

While I was at the play, Matt went ice fishing down at the lake with Dad and the Engelsons. Matt said the two boys wore him out.

We had some snacks at Cindy's before heading down to the AF Academy to watch the AF vs DU hockey game.

It was tied 1-1 so they went into overtime, but unfortunately DU scored with 59 seconds left in overtime, so AF lost. :(

On Sunday we woke up to SNOW! (Unfortunately again, not as much as the east, I want a blizzard). Anyway, we went to church then went down to my parents house to watch the super bowl. I am still too sad to talk about it.

There is more snow this morning, a few inches, and still coming down, but isn't supposed to snow much longer. And then the 10 day forecast is sun. Matt is headed to Pinedale this week with a stop to ski at Jackson Hole on Friday. Parents are headed to FL to go to the Daytona NASCAR race, so it will be me and Maggie hanging out. Probably nothing too exciting to blog about.
