Cookies

On Sunday I felt inspired to make some cookies and recruited Matt to help.

Unfortunetly, I forgot to change the recipe for high altitude, so they turned out kinda bad...

Denver Boat Show

On Friday, Matt and I went to the Denver Boat show. It was way smaller than the Detroit Boat show, but we had a lot of fun and spent about 3 hours there.

They only had a few small yachts, but Matt really liked the fold up aspect of this front.

This $15,000 thing you back into the water and then it is a "super raft". Complete with water slide, water pump, coolers, benches, power...

Here is a dock we looked at, you just drive it into the water and then float it to where you want. The wheels are permanent.
The new wakeboard boats are huge! I look so tiny!

Could you imagine cleaning this?
The inside of another MC. Just HUGE. The drivers seat was more like a yacht seat (up high, legs on the ground, not forward).

This is a very advertised Malibu. It is also huge.

I am sure this is what Jeff would have picked out if he was in charge of picking out the boat. Look, 4 speakers on the tower!

And five cup holders on each side!

They also had a band and some tiki dancers.

We had a good time!

Dry Suit

Matt ordered himself a new waterski (not sure why I don't have a picture of that), and since it is freezing cold (well actually it has been super nice out, but it is still January and the lake is still frozen), he ordered himself a dry suit so he can be the first one out on the lake (to put the course in....)

All zipped up!

Present from Rick

Rick made us a coat rack/mirror. It is very nice.

Matt to Breckenridge

Matt went skiing with Mike on Sunday, they went to Breck and said it was warm and sunny. Here he is on top of the Imperial Lift, which is the highest lift in North America. The summit of the lift is at 12,840 ft.

Other weekend news: Mom, Matt and I went to South Garden (yum yum) and then to see the George Clooney movie "Up in the Air". It was weird, bad ending, but overall okay. Then Mom and I went to see the Amy Adams movie "Leap Year". That was really bad. It was only an hour and a half long and man, long movie! Ha. Oh well.

Beaver Creek

On Saturday, my parents, Matt and I drove up to Beaver Creek for a few days of skiing.

They need some snow, but we had a good time.

Christmas in Michigan

Matt informs me I need to step up my blogging. So, today (Jan 8th) I took down my outdoor Christmas lights, and it just so happens that my last blog was putting up my Christmas lights...

So the week before Christmas, Matt and I had my parents, Jeff & Tarah, Andrea & Jake, and Tanner over for a family Christmas dinner. We had some steaks from Costco that were really good, and then watched the Eagles play the Giants.

On Friday the 18th Matt and I flew to Michigan and spent a few days in Plymouth. We had Christmas with the Hagans, and then Christmas with his parents. We also visited some people in Ann Arbor.

On Tuesday we (and Chris), drove up north! This year there were 25 people at the Lodge. Below are some pictures in the order I uploaded them.

1. Tom got a wind surfer for Christmas and the boys set it up in the family room. Come summer we will have to see who can actually get up on it!

2. On Christmas Eve we rented the ice hockey rink and played some hockey.

3. A slew of people getting dinner. The kitchen is the place to be.

4. The table before people sit down.

5. The barn. We did have some snow up north this year, but all before we got there. Sadly it rained on Christmas day :( We got snowmobiles though and had some good rides on them.

6. Allison, me, Laura, Andrea on Christmas Eve.

7. Hanging out in the barn. Matt, Peter, Me, Laura, Chris, Allison, Jon, Andrea.

8. Playing Storm the Castle. Don't know what Kara is looking at over there...

9. The girls getting ready for hockey. Laura, Elizabeth, Kara, Allison, Andrea, Me.
10. The boys so outnumber us. Andrew, Evan, Chris, Brian, Matt, Jon, Peter, Steven, Morgan. Missing Jeff, who didn't come up this year.

On Sunday after Christmas we came back to Colorado, only delayed in Detroit for 2.5 hours...

It was a great Christmas, can't wait til summer up north!
